Smoke Survey
University of Florida, School of Natural Resources and Environmental has requested NFPBA to participate in survey about smoke from prescribed fire.
The survey takes about 5 minutes to complete and asks fire practitioners (and people associated with fire) to indicate their preferences for prescribed fire smoke (i.e., lots of days with little smoke or many days with a lot of smoke as well as considerations for risk reduction). This survey will be distributed to the public to understand whether the preferences align.

BURN BOSS CLASS for Certified Burners

One of the goals of this class is to improve consistency in the planning and execution of PBA burns.
Registration preferences will be given to NFPA members who are:
(1) a certified burner and
(2) will be a burn boss in the next year or two.
